Through Pandora I discovered The Glitch Mob.

Headlining their live show at the Beacham Theatre in Orlando, FL, the group were joined by two opening acts: Com Truise and Phantogram.

Com Truise is a one man band who warmed up the crowd armed with a macbook, sound pad, and digital turn tables.

Phantogram, a trio, consists of a drummer, guitarist, and a female vocalist on the keys. Their sounds are more organic with an overwhelming bass line that lures you in to their melodies.

The Glitch Mob has a harnessed edginess unlike any other group.

To compare, think part Daft Punk, part Busta Rhymes.
What's different about this group is that they produce all of the sound that you hear right in front of you on these smart tablet like devices. The screen of these devices are rationed off in such a way that if you were to touch a certain area, you would hear a certain sound. The trio makes a point to have these touch tablets angled down 45 degrees towards the viewer so that you can see them make the sounds you hear.

Glitch Mob is in the EDM genre of music known as Trip Hop.

Their shows sellout to a eager crowd

and adds the genius marrying sight and sound.

Live shows from the group promise high energy, sensory overload,

and acrobatics?

The show can be summed up in one word:

GENIUS!

everything that i'm about to say came to me after sitting by a fire.

fire is beautiful...

I often think of what fire is symbolic of...

How God is a consuming fire...

...sin is like a wildfire..

 

i began thinking of the elements of the earth:

1. Earth

2. Water

3. Fire

4. Air

and their interactions with one another...

Earth + Earth: Earthquakes

Air + Air: Tornadoes

Earth + Water: Tsunami, Erosion

Air + Water: Hurricanes

 Air + Earth: Life

Fire is the only thing that needs a host.

It's oxygen, or Air dependent.

Fire + Earth: Renewal?

Where does water come from?

Above.

{I truly believe that God's principles are tied to Nature here on Earth}  

Then I began thinking about the spirit...

my spirit...

your spirit.

and what our interaction with the elements create.

this is my logic...

Spirit + Water:      Renewal

Spirit + Fire:   Cultivation

Spirit + Earth:          Death

Spirit + Air:              Life

so where am i going with this?

the combination of elements brings upon a lot of devastation.

what happens with the combination of ...

Spirit + Spirit + (element)?

A spouse can be like Water: renewing

a best friend or accountability partner can be like fire in a way.

giving you straight talk to cultivate you.

when life is like a hurricane you want the still waters lifestyle.

Instead of fixing our eyes on Jesus for some of us..

we get caught up in the storm

...and the STORM is all we see.

Jesus wants you to know that He is all you need.
